The story
Jeanne Lanvin, founder of the label, was an exceptional woman who loved fashion, the decorative arts and history. The story began at 22 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, where Jeanne set up as a milliner. In 1887, she welcomed a daughter, Marguerite, who was to become her muse and inspiration. And that's how Jeanne Lanvin started designing beautiful childrenswear.
The talented Alber Elbaz has been the brand's artistic director since 2001. He remains loyal to the brand's heritage, with his goal being 'to make women happy'. His collections exude remarkable elegance, conveying femininity and poetry. Clothing is adorned with a thousand and one eloquent details, including diamanté and ribbons.
